Job Purpose

Explore an opportunity in our ICE Data Services Desktop Solutions group as a Business Analyst in our Mid-town NYC location.  The selected candidate will work with the Product Management team in defining, prioritizing, planning, and executing the vision for our desktop applications targeting our core ICE Data Services Customers. The Desktop Solutions product offerings are global in scope and serve a broad section of the financial services industry. 

  • Prioritize requirements, engage in business analysis activities and create specifications to be used by development teams
  • Work alongside product management to translate their vision into documents and wireframes
  • Recommend improvements and new features for desktop and mobile applications
  • Define functional requirements for entitlement system (user creation and billing workflows)
  • Prepare training guides, release notes, and perform training for users
  • Liaise with development and QA teams to deliver new features and resolve issues
  • Perform UAT on new functionality or datasets
  • Identify and communicate project risks and issues
  • Collaborate with target market representatives, customers and partners to create powerful and compelling solutions for the marketplace
Knowledge and Experience
  • Previous experience as a business analyst or experience with CRM or entitlement functions desired but not necessary
  • Knowledge of financial markets; futures and energy markets a plus
  • Requirements elicitation and documentation a must
  • Able to create mockups/wireframes
  • Great communication skills
  • Must be able to supervise, organize, prioritize workload and work on numerous projects/tasks at one time
  • Familiar with waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with technical teams (QA and development) as well as sales and end users
  • Proactive and able to take initiative
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Software: Jira and Balsamiq (or other wireframing tool)
  • Desire to work in both data/content and functionality projects
  • Bachelors degree in Finance and/or Computer Science
