Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is looking for an Internal Audit Manager to be part of our corporate Internal Audit team.  The Internal Audit team provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve ICE’s operations. Internal Audit helps the organization accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.



  • Manage and perform integrated operational, compliance and financial audits
  • Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing - manual and automated
  • Develop a thorough understanding of ICE's exchange and clearing operations
  • Manage all aspects of audit cycle for one or more subsidiaries including audit planning, execution and reporting
  • Perform independent appraisals of policies and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain risk assessments and communicate requirements to the CAE
  • Identify resource requirements and maintain oversight of internal and external resources
  • Communicate identified control deficiencies to management effectively
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Liaise with various regulators as required
  • Draft audit memos and conduct meetings with business management
  • Travel to other locations as required for internal audit and training purposes
  • Manage personnel in multiple locations

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required with a commitment to maintaining appropriate professional certification (CIA, CPA, CFE, CISA or CRCM)
  • 7+ years of experience in internal audit or equivalent
  • Knowledge of regulatory auditing standards such as IIA International Professional Practices Framework
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to perform multiple projects simultaneously and manage other resources
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to adapt in a high growth, rapidly evolving industry
  • Manage audits of the general business and information technology functions in supporting the execution of the annual audit plan
  • Ability to travel 15%-25%; including international travel

Preferred, but not required

  • Knowledge of financial services, exchange, energy and commodities trading
  • Experience in the auditing exchanges, futures clearing merchants and/or clearing organizations
