Job Purpose

As a Social Media Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for planning and implementing digital content that meets the business objectives of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE).  Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital and Web, the Social Media Manager will work directly with business units, sales, investor relations, public relations and marketing to understand target users and desired messaging to design tactical campaigns. The role will plan, publish and promote content across all our brands, including ICE, ICE Data Services and the New York Stock Exchange.

 

The ideal candidate will be experienced at developing digital content strategy for social media, understand effective use of channels within the medium and have experience managing organic and paid campaigns.  Being able to understand business priorities, communication styles and brand voice are critical components of success.  Additionally, strong presentation skills and business presence are required to effectively relay needs, challenges and direction that best satisfy business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Write, craft or edit content for social media channels to convey brand and communication priorities of ICE, ICE Data Services and the New York Stock Exchange
  • Develop a strategic roadmap and goals for social media channels respective to our brands or subsidiaries
  • Produce engaging, immersive social experiences of large-scale corporate events, such as IPOs
  • Work with key sales teams to deepen customer relationships
  • Apply analytics and business insight to design and organize a strategy for each brand
  • Report and present key social findings, suggestions and strategy to various levels of senior management related to their social media activity
  • Proactively anticipate stakeholder needs and communicate creative solutions

Knowledge and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Marketing or related field
  • 5+ years of experience working with major agency, financial or ecommerce websites
  • 5+ years of experience in writing within a b2b marketplace or large brands in retail space
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting audience sentiment and analytics
  • Excellent communication, writing and editorial skills
  • Expertise in social media and understanding of media planning strategy across channels where Intercontinental Exchange is active
  • Excellent senior level or executive presentation skills
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced environment
  • Experience working closely with UX, Design, Product, Sales and Marketing partners
  • Strong interpersonal skills—must be a pro-active contributor to the team
  • A creative or editorial background is preferred
  • Experience dealing with financial services or other regulated industry preferred
