Product Manager - NYSE Market Data

As Product Manager you will join the NYSE Market Data team to drive business execution for the data products suite, help contribute to setting strategy, and plan product enhancements. In this role, you will be primarily responsible as a business lead of NYSE real time data products but also participate in historical and reference data product areas as required.  This includes all aspects of the business ranging from product development to pricing, marketing and liaising with sales to grow market data revenue for data products.

You must be able to communicate and manage expectations with external customers as well as internal stakeholders such as business analysts, development, and program management as you make business recommendations in this high growth environment where priorities shift fast. The successful candidate will be able to multitask in a dynamic team-based environment, while demonstrating strong customer focus, problem-solving, generating product requirements, decision-making abilities and the highest level of professionalism.

  • Manage customer expectations with regards to product features and timeline throughout the life cycle of product development and management

  • Develop and launch new products and enhance existing products as part of the roadmap

  • Create and own roadmap for data products and socialize it with internal and external stakeholders

  • Articulate and deliver customer lead enhancements and new product strategies

  • Keep abreast of new data uses and technologies and ensure commercialization addresses these changes

  • Engage closely with the technology teams to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable execution schedule for various projects that are part of the roadmap

  • Liaise with other business lines (Trading, Connectivity etc.) to incorporate the dependencies and align deliverables as part of the roadmap

  • Act as a bridge between business and technology and be able to translate the impact of technical changes to customers’ business needs and vice versa

  • Provided leadership to team members in support of mentoring and knowledge sharing 


  • Product management experience with focus on software products and technologies
  • Capital Markets and/or Market Data experience required
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience - delivering technology products in a dynamic environment where priorities shift fast
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate to non-technical audience
  • Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Customer focused, and dedicated to the best possible user experience
