Job Purpose

Intercontinental Exchange Data Services (ICE Data Services) is expanding our global sales organization and looking for high calibre sales professionals to join our growing team.

The Connectivity Sales Executive is a sales hunter who targets the buyers of low latency content across the diverse business spectrum. The Sales Executive is responsible for a select territory to hunt for new business selling Connectivity solutions for ICE Data Services. Additionally, the Sales Executive will work in collaboration with existing Account Managers and other IDS Sales Executives to identify opportunities for signing up new logos in the Connectivity space.


The holder of the role is expected to be a content and technical expert in ICE Data Services’ Connectivity solutions and also have a comprehensive understanding of the customer use cases and business in general “Know Your Customer”. Client meetings, presentations and preparation of RFP/RFI responses will all be an integral part of the role, as well as interacting with customer, internal business partners, and pre sales on detailed aspects of the solution design.


This role is ideally suited to a self-motivated individual who relishes being at the forefront of business activities and thrives on their own successes and those of the team. A strong communicator with a solid technical background and good knowledge of the market data and trading environment from a content, technology and networking perspective is required. We seek an aggressive hunter with polished sales, pipeline management, territory management and closing skills who is adept at challenger sales and who is highly motivated with the ability to think on their feet, from both a business and technical perspective.

  • Exceed sales quota

Knowledge and Experience
  • Sales experience with a primary focus on the financial markets
  • Proven ability to consistently exceed individual sales quota
  • Knowledge of the global Connectivity competitive landscape
  • Adept at the challenger sales model and/or Solution Selling principles
  • Strong presentation & communication skills
  • Competent with CRM/Salesforce tools
  • Proficient in pipeline management and accurate forecasting
  • Skilled negotiator and high close ratios
  • High performance, results oriented
  • Team player and collaborative sales skills
  • Customer focused
  • Previous experience working within a data/software vendor, exchange, or trading firm
